Le Creuset Outlet
The Porsche of Cookware?
Le Creuset has been in existence since 1925 when two men, one an expert in enameling and the other expert in cast iron, combined their talents to produce some of the highest quality cookware ever manufactured. Even though the company has been around for over 80 years, they still manufacture their cookware the same way and guarantee it for life.
Each piece is hand cast in sand molds, then individually polished and inspected for defects. The enamel is applied in two coats and fired at temperatures over 800 degrees. This heating makes the enamel extremely hard which makes the cookware incredibly durable. Many people have reported that their cookware hardly shows any wear after considerable use. The cookware is also dishwasher safe so clean up is simple.
Heavy Duty for a Reason
When you first pick up a Le Creuset cookware item, you realize that the enameled cast iron cookware is pretty heavy and, initially, you may think that this is a drawback. But the structure of the cookware it what makes it so great for cooking. The cast iron has a uniform thickness so the pot distributes the heat uniformly, eliminating "hot spots" for complete, even cooking. Gone are problems caused by inferior cookware that will cause food to burn or come out not completely cooked.
The bottoms of the pieces do not warp and remain flat, assuring a complete contact with the heating element. The cookware can be used on glass topped stoves, but you should be careful not to skid the pot across the surface but, instead make sure that you lift the pot straight up when you move it.
The lids fit flush with the pots for a tight seal while cooking. These features combine to make cooking easier, quicker and you will find that you can cook using less heat. The satin black enamel inner cooking surface makes sure that the juices are sealed in during cooking and meals turn out more succulent than with other cookware.
It All Started With the Dutch Ovens
The core of the Le Creuset product line is their Dutch Ovens. With one of these, even an average cook is suddenly able to create wonderful stews, soups and one pot meals. The tight fitting lid seals in the natural flavors so that foods come out tasting better than they ever have before.
These ovens come in all either round or oval shapes and sizes from a tiny One quart all the way up to a thirteen quart monster! The colors range from the classic orange to reds, greens, blues, yellows and even white. The beautiful colors of the enameling are so attractive that many people move the pots to a trivet on the table and serve right from there.
But There is More
At this point, Le Creuset offers a dizzying array of cast iron cookware that includes braisers, roasters, skillets, sauce pans, stock pots and much more. The same qualities that have endeared the dutch ovens to generations of cooks are now available for use with vegetables and pasta dishes. The curved corners and precision fit lids assure you that the results will be delicious and your family will wonder how you all of a sudden became a better cook!
Stockpots are available from six all the way up to a huge twenty quart size, so you can make large quantities of soups or stews, or have plenty of room to boil water for pasta. The Le Creuset cast iron skillets are professional grade and offer the same even heating and durability the dutch ovens are known for.
Le Creuset Does Stainless Steel!
Bringing their passion for top quality to stainless steel cookware, Le Creuset has a line of Tri-Ply Stainless Cookware. These items have a full aluminum core so that heat is quickly conducted throughout the cookware. The aluminum is bonded between two layers of top quality stainless steel for extreme durability. This line has everything you would expect from sauce, saute and fry pans, to stockpots and roasting pans. There is even a set of stainless measuring tools.
Even Nonstick and Specialty Items!
Le Creuset also offers nonstick fry, stir-fry and crepe pans. These pans are hard anodized with a seamless coating that is guaranteed to never chip of flake. The hot forging process used to manufacture these pans makes sure that the nonstick coating will last for many years. In addition to all this, Le Creuset offers specialty items like woks, tagines, crepe pans and even a heart shaped casserole pan!
